FAQs

What is Assisted Homeschool?

Assisted Homeschool (c) takes the idea that you, the parent, are the first and best teacher for your child(ren) and places it in the context of community. At Sweet Potato Academy, you choose the curriculum, your child sets the pace and we execute the core subjects while providing homeschool support, parent coaching and community for parents and learners alike.

Where does the assisted homeschool program meet?

We meet at 16115 LA-44 Prairieville, LA 70769 inside Art Academy: The Annex on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 1pm.

How does the assisted homeschool program work?

Think of us as your homeschool bestie. We plan the weekly work with your goals and your child’s unique personality and learning style in mind. We execute up to three days of the plan on your behalf during our program days and provide the plan and guidance for you to execute the additional days at home. Our program is based on a 4 day week so you will always have time for field trips, extracurriculars and family time.

What is the cost of the assisted homeschool program?

Our program is priced at $600/month. We have discounts available for large families, siblings, pay-in-full and co-op participation fees already paid. Our full pricing menu can be viewed here.

What is the tutor to learner ratio?

We have two full time and one part time tutor allowing us to keep our ratio at approximately one tutor to five learners. Our small groups encourage collaboration while ensuring one-on-one support from a homeschool tutor as needed.
